PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (PNP)


Each Canadian province and territory has its own immigration programs that target skilled and semi skilled workers.

Alberta Avantage Immigration Program (AAIP) :
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program was formerly known as Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program AINP. The AAIP has 3 immigration streams for qualified workers:
  • Alberta Opportunity Stream: You qualify under this stream, if you live and work in Alberta and have a job offer from an Alberta employer.
  • Rural Renewal Stream: To qualify under the Rural renewal stream, you must have a job offer from an Alberta employer to work in a designated rural Alberta community.
  • Alberta Express Entry Stream: Candidates with an Express Entry profile may be invited by AAIP to apply for nomination. If you are currently working for, or have a job offer with, an Alberta-based tech industry employer you can qualify for expedited processing.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
Ontario offer Skilled Workers the following immigration categories:
  • Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream
  • Employer Job Offer: International Student stream
  • Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream
  • Masters or PhD stream
  • Human Capital Priorities stream
  • Skilled Trades stream
  • French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)
The province of BC offers skilled and semi-skilled workers the following immigration programs:
BC Skilled Worker: To qualify you must have accepted a permanent and full-time job offer from a B.C. employer. Must have a job offer from a B.C. employer, in skill type 0, A, and B of NOC
  • BC Health Authority category: For Physicians, registered nurses, and midwives.
  • Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (ELSS) : For select occupations in the tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, food processing, and healthcare sectors.
  • BC International Graduate: For students that have graduated, in the last three years, from eligible Canadian universities or colleges. this immigration program can be your path to the Canadian permanent residence.
  • BC International Post-Graduate: For students that have graduated in the last three years with a master's or doctorate degree in science or engineering from an eligible B.C. institution. This immigration program can be your path to the Canadian permanent residence.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
Skilled workers can apply to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, through one of the following immigration programs:
  • Skilled workers in Manitoba
  • Skilled workers from overseas
  • International Education Stream (IES) for Manitoba graduates
  • Express entry stream
Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)
Newfoundland and Labrador offer Skilled Workers the following immigration categories:
  • Skilled Worker category: To qualify under Newfoundland and Labrador skilled worker category, you must have a job offer of at least 2 years from an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer and meet the other requirements of this immigration category.
  • International Graduate category: This immigration path is for recent graduates who have a Post-Graduate Work Permit and a job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer.
  • The Atlantic Immigration Program: You must receive a job offer from a designated employer in one of Canada's four Atlantic provinces to participate in the program.
  • Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker
New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP)
New Brunswick offer Skilled Workers the following immigration categories:
  • New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream: This immigration program is for temporary workers who are already working in the Province of New Brunswick in an eligible occupation and for foreign workers who received a permanent, unconditional job offer from an eligible NB employer.
  • New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream: The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream is for French-speaking workers who have eligible connection to the province and meet the other requirements of this immigration category.
  • The Atlantic Immigration Program: You must receive a job offer from a designated employer in one of Canada's four Atlantic provinces to participate in the program.
Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSPNP)
If you meet the requirements of one of these skilled worker immigration streams, you may apply to immigrate to Nova Scotia:
  • Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities
  • Labour Market Priorities for Physicians
  • International Graduate Entrepreneur: You must be an international student graduating from a Nova Scotia educational institution and want to become an entrepreneur.
  • International Graduates in Demand : This stream is currently open to recent international graduates and workers in NOC 3413: nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associate and NOC 4214: early childhood educators and assistants.
  • Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)

You can apply for a nomination for Canadian permanent residency through one of these Skilled Worker streams of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP):
  • Skilled Workers Outside Canada Stream: you must have permanent or minimum of two years job offer from a PEI employer in NOC skill level 0, A, or B and meet the other requirements of this immigration program.
  • Skilled Workers in PEI
  • International Graduate stream: you must be graduated from a publicly funded PEI post-secondary institution and meet the other requirements of this immigration program.
  • Critical Worker stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)
  • Prince Edward Island PEI Express Entry
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
The province of Saskatchewan offers skilled and semi-skilled workers the following immigration programs:
  • Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker: Employment offer
  • International Skilled Worker: Tech Talent Pathway
  • International Skilled Worker: Occupation In-Demand
  • International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry
  • Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot
  • International Graduate Entrepreneur Category: You must be an international student graduating from a Saskatchewan educational institution and want to become an entrepreneur.
Yukon Nominee Program (YNP)
Skilled worker Streams of the Yukon Nominee Program include the following categories:
  • Critical Impact Worker
  • Yukon Skilled Worker
  • Express Entry and
  • Yukon Community Program (includes a Critical Impact Worker and Skilled Worker stream).
Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP)

There are three categories available to skilled workers and employers:
  • The NWT Skilled Worker Category
  • The NWT Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations
  • The NWT Express Entry category
